AMELIA CORREA

Correa has participated in several videographic and cinematographic research projects, mainly in cultural management, programming and projection of film cycles. She was responsible for the videographic and library collection of "El Pochote Cineclub" of the IAGO in Oaxaca in 2007. She has been editorial coordinator, communication coordinator and academic coordinator of several projects. For several years she programmed OaxacaCine Niños, a project aimed at the children's community in Oaxaca. She currently lives in Mexico City and concentrates on projects related to the formation of film audiences.

During her residency, Amelia Correa's main objective was to bring children closer to quality film content and to sow a seed about the world of cinema. She screened films from different parts of the world, from Poland to Japan, without leaving out the latest in Mexican children's short films. The film sessions were dedicated with special attention to the understanding of narratives and character identification. Finally, the children were able to make their own stop motion film, which was screened in the last session of the residency.
